Singapore Holidays

Happy New Year, everyone!
During this Xmas holidays, we went to Singapore for a small vacation. We spent 4 full days there and stayed in Hilton Singapore. I made daily notes of the things we did which I am posting in the blog.

Day One, Dec 31, Sentosa island
1. Jewel box cable car
2. Three 20 minute long 4D rides
3. Butterfly park and Insect Kingdom
4. Birds in the open
5. Merlion
6. Under-water world Water tunnel
7. Dolphin show and Seal show
8. Songs of the sea Show
9. Travel by SMRT (Singapore Mass Rapid Transport)
10. New Year Night

Things that I ate:
1. Mint donut from 'Dunking Donut'
2. Double Scoop Ice-cream from 'New Zealand Naturals'
3. Pizza from Butterfly park shop
4. Pizza from Songs of the Sea Shop

Things that I bought:
1. Beatle keychain from Insect Kingdom store
2. Two book markers from the Sentosa Momentos shop

Day Two Jan 1, Singapore Zoo
1. Singapore Zoo at Angmokoi (all day)
2. Night Safari at Angmokoi
3. Night Show after Night Safari

Animals that I saw:
1. Capuchin Monkey
2. Cotton-top Tamarin
3. Otter
4. Tapir
5. Columbus Monkey
6. Orang Utan
7. Penguin,
8. Elephant Ride
9. Lion
10. Giraffe
11. Chimpanzee

Day Three, Jan 2, Jurong Bird Park
1. Jurong Bird Park, all day
2. Dinner at the Marina Bay
3. Saw the Giant Ferris wheel

These are few information that I collected about some of the birds I saw there for my class project
Bald Eagle: It is a bird of prey and is also the national bird of America. It is found near large water-bodies, have a hooked beak, grey body and white head that is not really bald.

Peacock: It is found in Asia and has long beautiful feathers. The female is called Peahen and has dull grey feathers. The Peacock is the National Bird of India and also the state bird of Punjab.

Puffin: It is a sea-bird that has a black and white body with reddish legs and bill. It is also called "the Clown of the Oceans" and "the Sea Parrot"

Toucan: It is seen in parts of Mexico and America. It has a large brightly coloured bill and lives in tree hollows made by wood -peckers

Hornbill: The hornbill is seen in Africa and Asia. It has a large bright coloured bill that is held up by powerful neck muscles. The Great Indian Hornbill is the state bird of Kerala

Day Four, Jan 3rd, Shopping
1. Shopping at 'TOYS R US'
2. Lunch at Little India
3. Back to Hilton by evening and bubble bath

4. Pack up and leave to airport by 8.30 pm
5. Dinner at Airport

2. Building Blocks
3. Wrist Watch

How about writing about what you liked the most in your 4 day trip? And don't say it was the flight back home :)

I liked everything equally there :) and coming back was also good because I had the Scooty with me.
